The Golf Course is Still Closed

March 12 Update – March 26 is opening day.  We will release tee times starting on March 19.  The outdoor range will open on March 26.

Golf Outing Update

Unfortunately, we have no concrete information regarding the gathering rules for the upcoming golf season.  While things generally seem to be loosening, there is no guarantee that today’s rules will still be in effect by the time your tournament comes around.

Additionally, just because we are allowed to operate in a certain way doesn’t necessarily mean that’s how we are going to handle it at Southers Marsh.  We want every person who steps onto the property to have a wonderful experience, and we don’t want to be put in the position of having to settle disputes between those guests who are behaving as if it’s business as usual and those guests who prefer to be more cautious.  In a large group you will definitely have both.  We probably will not host shotgun events until the mask mandate has been lifted.

That being said, we will continue to monitor the rules and regulations.  If your event is scheduled in June 2021 or earlier, I would definitely plan on tee times rather than the traditional golf outing experience with a shotgun start and a meal afterwards.  Those of you who are familiar with our operation know that we are very flexible, but the safety of our guests and employees is our number one concern.  The groups that held their tournaments last year by utilizing tee times were pleasantly surprised with the success of their events.

We will continue to update our policies as the situation changes, and we appreciate your cooperation.

Winter Updates

The Golf Course is Closed for the Season

The pro shop will be open daily 10 AM-3 PM until December 23 for the sale of gift certificates, memberships, and Southers Marsh apparel and accessories.  We will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  If you prefer you may buy gift cards, multi-round passes, and memberships online. There is no charge for shipping and handling, but if you are ordering a 6 or 10 round pass, please place your order by December 21.  Gift Cards can be emailed if your order is placed by December 22.  

Purchase your 2021 golf memberships by January 3 for the best pricing.

We usually are able to reopen the golf course in mid-March when things dry out.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day – Closed
Christmas Break (Dec 26-Jan 3) – Noon-7 Daily.  Closing at 5 PM on 12/31.

Our plan is to keep the Barn open this winter unless we run out of balls in the snow.  Usually snow doesn’t stick around that long here, so we should be ok.   Our winter hours will be announced January 4.

Tuesday Barn League

Introductory Pricing – $15 per player for a 2 hour bay rental which will accommodate up to 4 players.
Prizes – $5 cash for low net score, and $5 for the birdie pool, similar to the regular Southers Marsh Leagues.

2 hours should give you plenty of time to warm up and play nine holes.  Every week we will play a different course.  Please sign in using the TopTracer Range app so your name will appear on the leaderboard.  Please make a reservation to hold your bay so no one gets shut out.

Thanksgiving Schedule

The golf course will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.  There are benefits and drawbacks to dealing with a “Mom and Pop” business.  One of the drawbacks is that we’re taking the day off so we can enjoy the holiday with our family.

The Friday after Thanksgiving is a very busy day.  Holiday rates will be in effect.  ($35 to walk, $50 to ride if you are sharing a cart, $55 if you take your own cart)  We will start accepting tee times on Thursday November 19 for the general public.  If you want to play, make a tee time early, it will sell out.
